Sister Maria Onyido attended Charles Heerey Memorial Juniorate in Urualla Ideato North Local Governement Area Imo State for secondary schooling.

She proceeded to University of Nigeria and graduated with a First Class degree in Mathematics. She was the best graduating student in both her faculty as well as the entire University of Nigeria , Nsukka  with a grade point average  4.85 on a 5.0 GPA scale.

Reverend sister Maria Onyido intend to pursue a masters degree in mathematics and ultimately pursue a teaching career in mathematics.
